Less than 50 steps from the beach, a few more to a little shop where you can buy toiletries, snacks, drinks, and there are plenty of food choices within minutes. The room and bathroom are lovely and everything works. The little space outside the door is big enough for a deckchair (provided) and a small table. If you're lucky you might see a humming bird while you're lounging under the frangipani tree. Geckos and squirrels hang around too. Little touches like the provision of an umbrella, a beach mat and a broom to sweep your little patio are nice. Michel and Poon are genuinely lovely and so eager to make you feel welcome, Poon's cooking (Thai breakfast) is amazing and Kan the housekeeper is a gem. I hired a decent bike from them too and did a fair bit of cycling around the beautiful area before I stupidly veered off the road while admiring the scenery. Kan looked after me while my ankle healed and I got to hang out for some more time at this amazing little spot. Don't miss the Saturday night market on the beach (where you can even hug a buffalo) and definitely do all there is to do round about. I would go back in a minute - thanks Kan, Poon and Michel!

We loved everything about this place. Namaste is a small & cozy resort close to a beautiful long beach (really close, like 1 min. walk!). Spacious room with all necessary facilities in place, big window & nice view. Very welcoming owners and staff. Delicious breakfasts both types european and thai. It's a small village easily accessible from Bangkok, with a few restaurants & bars, without noisy clubs etc., perfect for chilling. With Michel & Poon's help and for a reasonable price we visited a couple of interesting places in the neighborhood, such as Phraya Nakhon cave, Bueng Bua lake and a Pran Buri mangrove forest. Worth mentioning that there is no currency exchange point in the village, so if you're taking EUR or USD cash with you, you should change money before arriving to Sam Roi Yot. Bear in mind that in Thailand it's almost impossible to change money without passport (picture of a passport or any kind of electronic ID is just not enough). Also, you can't pay with your Visa or Mastercard there, cash only. Anyway, there is an ATM next to the Namaste Resort, just in case.

We stayed 5 nights at Namaste Resort and can only recommend it. The rooms are clean and nicely equipped with a water cooker, hair dryer and electrical mosquito killer. We also really enjoyed the small terrace in front of the room, to sit and enjoy some quiet time when the beach is too windy. The apartments are very close to the beach and invite for a nice morning or evening walk on the beach. We also had a few times breakfast at the resort - Poon is a really good cook and we especially enjoyed her thai breakfast! The kids breakfast was also fantastic, as was the hospitality of Poon and Michel. They are very friendly hosts and we had the feeling that really nothing is a problem. Michel also recommended many nice places that can be explored by scooter or with a car or using the driving service by Poon and Michel. We also liked that the prices of additional tours are transparent and presented on the website of Namaste Resort. All in all we can only recommend this place if you are looking for a nice place at the Thai country site.

Our 5 nights at Namaste were a highlight of the month we spent in Thailand. Poon, Michel and Kan were extremely welcoming, thoughtful and helpful, sharing lots of invaluable tips about the local area, and arranging our transport. Poon's breakfasts were the best food we had in Thailand! I'm vegan and my partner is vegetarian, and she made some delicious, creative Thai breakfasts for us. The room was immaculate, very comfortable, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The location was excellent, with several restaurants and a minimart within easy walking distance. We rented a scooter and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. The scenery around Sam Roi Yot is stunning, and the roads are quiet so the driving was straight forward. There is plenty to see and do, and we saw lots of wildlife (kingfishers, bee-eaters, Dusky Langurs) as we explored. Thank you Poon, Michel and Kan for an absolutely wonderful time at Namaste!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Poon and Michel, the owners, are incredibly kind and welcoming. It truly feels like you're visiting your friends. Poon’s breakfasts are simply delightful! It was so convenient that Poon and Michel can arrange all kinds of transfers, even to places like Kui Buri, which is quite a distance away. The room was spacious and wonderfully quiet at night. I especially loved the mosquito door — it lets in fresh air while keeping the bugs out. The room also has both a fan and air conditioning, so you're always comfortable. The beach is just about 30 meters away, and the location of the hotel is unbeatable! The views are breathtaking. I honestly wouldn’t mind living there forever. Many places to eat nearby.
